FAQ

How does your program work?

We meet with you 1:1 in a strategy session to learn about your goals, injuries, history, etc, and to see if we are the right fit. From there, you sign up for sessions in our app as your schedule allows, ideally 2-3 times per week. Your coach will take it from there.

You show up and we’ll take care of the rest. We’ll guide you through your training session, take notes in your profile for your next visit, and support you every step of the way.

How often do the workouts change?

We design a routine for you in 4-week blocks. Within the week (Monday vs Wednesday) will be a different workout to keep it varied, but you’ll repeat the workouts a few times in the cycle so that you can get better at the exercise form and track progress. If it’s always different, we can’t track improvement. Clients find it’s a good mix of variety with certainty of what to expect over time.

How long are the workouts?

About 50 minutes. In and out within the hour so you can get on to the rest of your day and back to life.

Do I need to come every day?

No, you don’t. We like activity every day but with strength training (to get the most out of training) we aim for 2-3 days a week to achieve the best results.

What is small group personal training?

That is how we deliver your training session. Just like the name says, it’s personal training, but in a small group. The program will be individualized to you and you will have a coach with you at every session… you’ll just be sharing the coach with about 4-5 other people who are also in your session. We find the intimate setting and community support to be an ideal workout environment.

Is this like CrossFit?

CrossFit did a good job at popularizing strength training using kettlebells, and barbells. We certainly use those pieces of equipment. However, we don’t do a “workout of the day.” We personalize each training program to the individual based on your needs, abilities, and injury history.

Will you see similar equipment? Sure. But it’s not the equipment that makes RISE Fitness special, it’s the coaching, accountability, and community.

What if I have an injury?

That’s no problem. Most injuries can be worked around to help you stay active. We modify each person’s routine based on their goals and injuries.

We are also happy to reach out to your physical therapist to get background on your injury and what they think would support your return to activity.

Do I really have a coach with me at every single workout?

Yes! Every visit is with a coach that way we can tell you what to do, make sure you’re doing it right, and be there to support you. No more wondering if what you are doing is going to get your results or worse, hurt.

Is it a membership or how does billing work?

We have a range of memberships that bill every 4 weeks. Our memberships range based on how many sessions you want to use per month, and how long you commit to. Once we know your goals and schedule we can recommend a membership for you.

Is this a regular gym/fitness center?

We have the same equipment and such, but other than that…no…not really. We don’t offer open access where you can come and go as you please. We require all our clients to schedule their workouts on our app, that way all of their workouts are with a coach so they can be fully supported at every session.

Are you really for people 40+?

Yes, the majority of our clients are 40+. We find that we attract clients who are intimidated by the typical gym and don’t want the loud, crowded, high-intensity class environment. They need coaching, they need support. That’s not to say we don’t have younger clients who also have those needs, but our niche is fitness over 40.

Do you help with nutrition too?

Yes, we have a nutrition coach on staff. We offer a comprehensive 8-week program called NutritionOS. In this program, we meet with you weekly to help you build a new nutrition “operating system” without starving yourself or doing the next fad diet.

What is our “28 Day” Guarantee?

We believe so much in what we do that we promise that you will love it or we’ll give you every penny back. We want this decision to be a no-brainer!

Where are you located?

We are conveniently located in the center of Sharon right off the main intersection.
