Meet our Team
We started RISE FITNESS because too many adults—especially those 50+—were being overlooked by today’s fitness industry. Most gyms push big crowds, blaring music, fast-paced workouts, and “keep up or get left behind” coaching. For a lot of people, that’s not motivating… it’s discouraging.
And it’s not built for anyone who wants to train smart, protect their joints, avoid injury, and feel better—not beat up.
At RISE, we built something different.
Here, you get small-group personal training designed for real people with real bodies: past injuries, stiff joints, busy schedules, and goals that go far beyond “just getting a workout in.”
We take the time to understand:
How you move
Your injury history
Your comfort level
Your goals (strength, energy, mobility, confidence)
Then we design a program that helps you get stronger at a pace that actually feels good—without chaos, without pressure, and without needing earplugs.
Our mission is simple:
Help you build strength, energy, and resilience so you can stay active, independent, and confident for the long haul.
If you’ve ever felt like you were “too old,” “too out of shape,” or “too far behind” to start… this is the place built for you.
Come experience what fitness feels like when it’s tailored to YOU.

My career started as a certified athletic trainer working in a college setting. I loved what I was doing in this role. Lots of problem-solving, helping athletes recover from injuries, and getting them back to their sport better than ever.
The problem…. The lack of control in scheduling and hours of athletic trainers typically covered wasn’t going to be sustainable with a family.
Then came the switch to the fitness industry.
Here I was able to help adults who needed a coach who could simplify their nutrition and help keep them active around injuries, work, family, and whatever else life threw at them day to day.
To my surprise, this was just as rewarding as seeing a soccer player return to play after ACL surgery.
I was able to take my problem-solving skills, passion for helping people, and desire to always improve to help grow a business that included a team of over 20 fitness professionals that serviced well over 300+ adult training clients and 200+ youth athletes.
My goal is to continue using my knowledge and unique experience as a health and fitness professional to help the local community with their health, fitness, and nutrition.
If you need help, I would love to chat about how I can help you simplify your approach to fitness and nutrition so you can get back to living your life.

Kath's love for fitness and training began at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst where she played Division I lacrosse. There, she learned proper strength & conditioning training and learned to love how building strength directly impacted self-confidence and longevity.
